Welcome to EPTA – The European Power Tool Association

The EPTA is the only European association solely dedicated
to representing the interests of the manufacturers of electrical tools. This industry produces electrical power tools for both professionals and DIY (Do it yourself) consumers and generates an annual turnover in 2009 of approximately € 2,8 billion.
EPTA member companies, many of which are SMEs, employ
a total staff of some 15,000.

The EPTA represents enterprises whose head offices are both inside and outside the EU including the USA and Japan. In addition, several national organizations are associate members of EPTA.

All EPTA members are represented in at least one European country either with their headquarters or their manufacturing facilities, or they have substantial marketing, distribution or Research & Development presence there.

EPTA members have committed themselves to contribute
to fair competition in Europe, both from the standpoint of economics and of employment policy. In this spirit, EPTA represents its members before the relevant institutions in Brussels with one common goal: Serving the Power Tool Markets.
