Life Cycle Analysis

A life cycle analysis (LCA) of a corded and cordless power tool was jointly commissioned by EPTA and RECHARGE (the International Association for Advanced Rechargeable Batteries) in 2008. The final report was issued and made available to association members in November 2009.

The reason for carrying out the analysis was to lay the foundations for following the path set out by the European Energy-using Products directive (EuP) (2005/32/EC).
