Environmental Footprint

EPTA broadly supports the Commission's objectives as set out in the Resource Efficiency Roadmap.

EPTA has voluntarily undertaken a Life Cycle Analysis on two of its most popular products, namely a corded and a cordless drill. This demonstrated that most of a power tool's environmental footprint is covered by the use phase.

EPTA has also developed its own sector specific guide and Product Carbon Footprint measuring procedure to enable member companies to manage and improve their environmental footprint.
