Waste
EPTA members recognise that they are fully responsible for the high quality products that they place on the market and are committed to designing these for minimum waste and ease of recycling.
The industry supports the required collection rates at end of life and the reuse of products through the supply of spare parts and servicing.
EPTA is aware that power tools bought by DIY customers are often kept for many years before being disposed of and that this presents a challenge in ensuring that they are finally disposed of responsibly. This practice is known as "hoarding".
